Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) – Gorilla Epoxy 25 ml
1. What temperature range is recommended for using Gorilla Epoxy?
Use between 10°C and 37°C. After curing, the bond remains strong from -23°C to +82°C.
2. What can I use to mix the epoxy if I don’t have a mixing tray or stick?
You can use a small plastic or metal dish — even the bottom of a soda can works. For mixing, use a plastic stir stick, spatula, or wooden skewer.
3. Do I need a clamp or other tool to hold parts together?
Not required, but recommended. After applying the epoxy, join the parts within 5 minutes and clamp or secure them for at least 30 minutes for best results.
4. Why didn’t my epoxy cure properly?
The resin and hardener may not have been mixed in equal proportions, or they weren’t mixed thoroughly. Tip: Hold the syringe upright to release air bubbles and dispense both components evenly and slowly.
5. Can it be used on plastic or rubber?
Yes, but not on all types. It does not adhere well to polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), or some oily rubbers. For better adhesion, roughen the surface slightly.
6. What is the shelf life of Gorilla Epoxy?
Unopened: up to 3 years from the production date. After opening, use within 6–9 months if stored in a cool, dry place. Tip: Retract the plunger after each use, wipe the nozzle, and seal the cap tightly.
7. How can I remove Gorilla Epoxy from surfaces?
Wipe off fresh epoxy with a dry cloth. Use soapy water, isopropyl alcohol (IPA), or acetone for residue. Once cured, it can only be removed mechanically (e.g., sanding or scraping).
8. How can I remove it from skin?
Wipe off as much as possible with a dry cloth, then wash with warm water and soap. Do not use solvents on your skin.
9. Is Gorilla Epoxy food-safe?
No. Gorilla Epoxy is not certified as food-safe and should not come into direct or indirect contact with food.
10. What if a person or animal swallows the product?
This is a medical emergency. Immediately call a doctor or emergency services (112). For pets, contact a veterinarian right away.
